Only two weeks after expanding to six entries in the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires Championship, HMD Motorsports has added James Roe to the HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing lineup for the Indy Lights Music City Grand Prix this weekend, Aug. 5-7 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Irishman Roe will drive the team’s No. 11 entry, with sponsorship from Topcon Positioning Systems, CES Power and Trintech, in the first Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires race on the streets of Nashville,

“I am extremely excited to be joining HMD this coming weekend,” Roe said. “It is a great opportunity for me to immerse myself in their championship-caliber Indy Lights program. I’d like to thank Henry Malukas and Global Racing Group for their assistance throughout the past week, along with my partners and supporters.”

Roe has competed in the nine previous Indy Lights races this season, with seventh-place finishes at the Detroit Grand Prix and Road America.

The Indy Lights Music City Grand Prix is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Aug. 7, with live coverage on Peacock Premium and the INDYCAR Radio Network.
