BALTIMORE -- The top two times in the practice preceding qualifications for the Grand Prix of Baltimore were recorded by the same drivers who led the initial session on the 2.04-mile, 12-turn street circuit.
Hawksworth, driving the No. 77 Schmidt Peterson with Curb-Agaanian car, recorded a lap of 1 minute, 24.8128 seconds in the early morning session. Carlos Munoz had a best lap of 1:25.3152 in the No. 26 Dialy-Ser car for Andretti Autosport.

The 45-minute qualifying is scheduled for 10:55 a.m. (ET), with live Timing & Scoring augmented by the IMS Radio Network broadcast on www.indycar.com and the INDYCAR 13 app. The 35-lap race will be broadcast at 5 p.m. (ET) Sept. 1 by NBC Sports Network.
Sage Karam (1:25.8872) was third in the session in the No. 8 Schmidt Peterson with Curb-Agajanian car, while teammate Gabby Chaves was fourth (1:25.9547).
Hawksworth has won two of the three races on street circuits this season and is fourth in the standings. Munoz has a 15-point advantage on Chaves and is 16 points clear of Karam in the championship chase.
